WTF? Vatican Cops Break Up Gay Orgy At Home Of Pope’s ‘Key Adviser’

Disgusting, and just wait until you read what ‘department’ he worked in.

Isn’t there supposed to be some sort of code of conduct for Christian leaders?

Something about above reproach, and self-controlled, respectable, not a drunk, etcetera?

It doesn’t look like these guys got the memo.

These are the guys were advising the Pope? Unreal.

I shudder to think about what ‘influence’ they may have been able to give.

The flat belonged to the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, which is in charge of tackling clerical sexual abuse. (Emphasis added)

Reports in Italy claim the occupant of the apartment is allegedly the secretary to Cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio – a key aide to the 80-year-old Pope.

The flat involved is a short distance from the Vatican itself.

According to the paper, neighbours became suspicious before complaining about irregular behaviour of those coming and going at the flat.

The cardinal is reported to have recommended his aide at one stage for promotion to the rank of bishop.

However, those career plans are likely to be disrupted by news of the orgy and by a period spent recovering from a drug overdose in a Rome hospital and another in an Italian monastery.

The shocking allegations – in Il Fatto Quotidiano – come just a week after Australian Cardinal George Pell was charged with a string of historic sexual offences in his homeland piling pressure on the Pope.

The accused was ‘recommended for a promotion to Bishop’? Seriously?

If this guy is an ‘important advisor’ to the Pope, he may need to clear house.

Here’s a plot twist:

Only last week, those responsible for looking into sex cases made the news again when the Pope fired a ‘Conservative Cardinal’ who hadn’t given 3 Priests the pink slip earlier this year.

Pope Francis earlier this year ordered Cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Müller, the top doctrinal watchdog in the Roman Catholic Church, to fire three priests from the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, which is the keeper of the church’s orthodoxy and presides over investigations into sexual abuse.

Cardinal Müller, an ideological conservative often at odds with the pontiff, was vexed by the order, and, in a recent interview, said he had made a case, in vain, for the priests to stay in Rome.

“I’m not able to understand all,” Cardinal Müller said when asked why Francis sent them away. He added, “He’s the pope.”

…“This gives the pope the chance to finally place his own man in a very important spot,” said the Rev. James Martin, an editor at large for the Catholic magazine America and a consulter to the Vatican’s Secretariat for Communication. “For many admirers of Benedict, Cardinal Müller was the last link to Benedict’s way of doing things.” -Read More

Is the Pope busy firing the wrong people?

Should he take a little more interest in the character of his appointees, rather than just their ideology?

Might not hurt to make this required reading, either.
