WTH: James Comey Says He Didn’t Leak Anything While He Leaked FBI Secrets

This is the same James Comey who was the Media(D)’s public enemy #1 after what he said about Hillary.

Since he helped launch that Mueller investigation, though, all is forgiven. They’ve got all the time in the world for him on every friendly network.

He pitches his book and they throw softball questions. It’s a symbiotic relationship, really. It saves ‘journalists’ from scaring up any new stories. They can just rehash the Comey stuff again and again, while snickering at every mention of the word ‘pee tapes’.

When asked if he believes if he broke the law in leaking the memos, it should come as a surprise to exactly nobody that he claimed he did not.

Comey denied he broke the law in handling the memos, which he gave to Daniel Richman, a Columbia law school professor.

“But … you did leak memos. Is it okay for somebody at the FBI to leak something, an internal document, even if it’s not classified?” Cooper asked Comey.

“There’s a whole lot wrong with your question, Anderson,” Comey replied. “First, I didn’t leak memos. I asked a friend to communicate the substance … one unclassified memo to the media, and I was a private citizen.”

Comey’s denial of being a leaker contradicts comments he made in an interview earlier this month with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos.

“President’s tweeted innumerable times calling you a leaker — because of that. First of all, what’s your response to President Trump?” Stephanopoulos asked.

Comey acknowledged being a leaker, saying, “Look, it’s true, I mean, I’m the one who testified about it, that’s how people know about it, that I gave that unclassified — this is a whole other conversation about whether you can leak unclassified information, I don’t want to get involved in that.”

What he did ‘isn’t a leak’.  That’s his claim, anyway.

But earlier this month, he acknowledged he’s a leaker.

Why the sudden turn around?

Maybe it has something to do with that one line in those memos coming back to bite him in the ass. One that throws his credibility on everything that follows into doubt.

“I said I don’t do sneaky things, I don’t leak, I don’t do weasel moves,” Comey wrote in the memo, promising that he would “always tell him the truth.” — Source: Breitbart

Weasel is actually the perfect word to describe him.

The more we see about him, the more obvious that becomes.

Liar. Leaker.

That’s what the President’s calling him.

And from here in the cheap seats, it’s hard to disagree.
